Mazda has unveiled the first-ever CX-70 crossover SUV, designed for active lifestyles with superb driving dynamics, elegant design, and generous cabin and cargo space. Riley Mazda in Stamford, CT is excited to announce the arrival of the 2025 Mazda CX-70.
Located conveniently off I-95 at exit 9 near downtown Stamford, Riley Mazda is proud to be one of the first dealerships in the state to offer the CX-70. This all-new midsize crossover slots between the compact CX-5 and the three-row CX-9 in Mazda’s SUV lineup.
Built on Mazda’s large platform, the CX-70 comes equipped with Mazda’s most advanced powertrains featuring responsive performance and electrification. Two engine options are available: an e-SkyActiv G 3.3-liter I6 Turbo with M-Hybrid Boost, or an e-SkyActiv G PHEV with the best of both performance and efficiency.
The CX-70’s dynamic exterior styling makes an aggressive first impression with its wide, low front fascia and chiseled front end. Contrasting black accents and available 21-inch black metal and machine cut wheels give it a sporty stance. The meticulously sculpted interior feels open yet comfortable, with high quality materials and contrasting metallic inlays. Available red Nappa leather upholstery adds a distinctly sporty vibe.
This crossover is designed for utility and improving the driving experience. New features include remote-folding rear seats for easier cargo loading, a rear cargo area optimized for storage with compartments and hooks, and a unique sub-trunk to stow valuables out of sight. Driver assistance technologies are enhanced with the addition of Unresponsive Driver Support to automatically stop the vehicle if the driver becomes unresponsive to alerts. CX-70 is also the first Mazda crossover with integrated Alexa for hands-free voice control.
Two Powerful and Efficient Powertrain Options
The base CX-70 engine is an e-SkyActiv G 3.3-liter I6 Turbo with M-Hybrid Boost produces 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. This turbocharged gas engine features a 48-volt mild hybrid system for improved fuel efficiency. It comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
For more performance, the available e-SkyActiv G PHEV powertrain generates 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque from its turbocharged gas engine and electric motor. As a plug-in hybrid, it can drive up to 26 miles on electric power alone. This powertrain also uses an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
Generous Cargo Space and Passenger Room
With its midsize proportions on Mazda’s large platform, the 5-passenger CX-70 offers ample cargo and passenger room. Behind the rear seats is 39.6 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to 75.3 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Passenger volume measures 105.9 cubic feet, providing comfortable seating for five adults. The CX-70 has a maximum towing capacity 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
New Driver Assistance and Connectivity
Mazda adds new driver assistance technologies to the CX-70 including Traffic Jam Assist, a 360-degree parking camera, and Road Keep Assist. There is also a new central 12.3-inch infotainment display with integrated Alexa voice assistant. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. Mazda Connected Services provide safety and convenience features accessed through the MyMazda app.
Premium and Sporty CX-70 Trim Levels
The CX-70 offers five well-equipped trim levels: Preferred, Premium, Premium Plus, S Premium, and S Premium Plus. The Preferred trim comes loaded with a 12-speaker Bose audio system, leather seats, power liftgate, and a full suite of advanced safety tech.
Stepping up to the Premium and Premium Plus adds a 12.3-inch display, head-up display, Nappa leather, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, and more. The S Premium and S Premium Plus models add unique styling touches and performance upgrades.
