In its second year, Mazda has given the CX-90 several new updates. The Preferred Plus trim level has dropped, as has the base Turbo S. Also, a new trim called Premium Sport replaces the Premium trim. The Premium Sport offers black exterior accents on the grille, the badging, the side mirrors, and the roof rails. The Premium Sport also gets 21-inch wheels with a dark finish. Additionally, the second-row bench seat is standard on more models and the 12.3-inch infotainment display is now standard except on the base trim.

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 offers a choice of two engines. There's a responsive 2.5-liter turbo inline-four-cylinder offering 320 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft of torque. Then there's an available 3.3-liter turbo V6 that produces 400 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft of torque. Both pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD to provide surefooted handling and control in all driving conditions.
