Design

Performance
For the all-new CX-70, there are two powertrain options. A turbocharged 3.3-liter inline-six engine outputs 280 horsepower and 340 horsepower in the S trims. Then there's a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system that outputs 323 hp.

Fuel Economy
Although the EPA has yet to release information on the CX-70, we suspect it to have an estimated range of around 25 mpg combined, given the CX-90 uses the same powertrain. We also assume the plug-in-hybrid version will offer better efficiency and an all-electric range of about 26 miles.
Technology
To accompany the CX-70's posh interior, Mazda has opted to give the SUV a wealth of tech. A 12.3-inch infotainment system is standard, along with CarPlay/Android Auto capabilities and optional Amazon Alexa integration. In higher trims, customers can find a 12-speaker Bose stereo, a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, and a head-up display.
Safety Features
Rounding out the list of tech on the CX-70 is their suite of safety features called i-Activsense. Advanced driver-aids offered in this bundle include forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, and a safe exit warning system.
Trims
Seven trims are available in the new Mazda CX-70.
There's the 3.3 Turbo Preferred, 3.3 Turbo Premium, 3.3 Turbo S Premium, PHEV Premium, 3.3 Turbo Premium Plus, 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus, and PHEV Premium Plus.
3.3 Turbo Preferred: As a well-equipped base model, the Turbo Preferred offers a power liftgate, sunroof, and leather upholstery. There are also a half-dozen standard safety features as standard.
3.3 Turbo Premium: Building on the Preferred design is the Turbo Premium. Available are 21-inch wheels, a navigation system, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and an increased towing cap of 5,000 pounds.
PHEV Premium: Offering even more is the PHEV Premium with its adaptive headlights, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable steering wheel, and a surround-view camera system.
3.3 Turbo S Premium: As a higher-end model, the S Premium has the same amenities as the PHEV Premium with a heated steering wheel, premium leather upholstery, ventilated seats, and heated rear seats.
3.3 Turbo Premium Plus: Adding to the S Premium is the Premium Plus. This top-tier model comes with premium features like a heated steering wheel, premium leather upholstery, and a reverse automatic braking system.
3.3 Turbo Premium Plus and PHEV Premium Plus: Lastly, there's the PHEV Premium Plus and Turbo Premium Plus. Each model comes with even more features than the Premium versions, offering upgraded leather upholstery (PHEV) and premium quilted seat upholstery (3.3 Turbo Premium), a heated steering wheel (PHEV), and a two-tone steering wheel (3.3 Turbo Premium).
